Girdles, Girdles, Girdles!

I'm working on a paper girdle to enter into a show in Colorado called "Bras, Bangles & Bunions". The show highlights the impact of fashion on women's bodies and society. Girdles are really hard to do-and, apparently, very uncomfortable too. I found some old garters in my mother-in-law's sewing box. I'm debating about using the real ones or replicating them in paper and cardboard. Hopefully, it will be done in time to enter.

Arlington Center for the Arts, Arlington, MA

I have a piece in "Taking Off", the current juried show at the Arlington Center for the Arts in Arlington. It's in the Gibbs Gallery. The Art Center is located at The Gibbs Center, 41 Foster St. The show goes through December.

Monserrat College of Art, Beverly MA

There are 23 pieces of my work in the window of Frame 301 Gallery at 301 Cabot Street in Beverly, MA. They will be on display until January 5th, 2011. Stop by and have a look!
